Aires de primavera [] winds of spring

¡Buenos días chic@s, y muy feliz lunes!

Hoy amanece un día estupendo. Soleado. Radiante. Con temperaturas muy agradables. Ahora sí podemos decir adios al abrigo y, ¡hola a la primavera!

Tenemos por delante una estación maravillosa, llena de colorido y flores. Y para entrar en ambiente os muestro una sugerencia en lámparas.

Antes de nada, comentar que yo soy muy FAN de los focos empotrados para luminario de techo. Me parece la mejor opción por su simplicidad y pragmatismo, ya que encajan en todas las estancias, y con todo tipo de decoraciones. No obstante, me rindo ante este diseño de lampara colgada de Marcus Arvonen.

La lampara PS Maskros la teneis disponible en Ikea por 79€. No es precisamente uno de sus árticulos más económicos, pero bien merece su precio.

Este diseño lo podeis colocar en dormitorios, cuartos infatiles, comedores y salones. Ya sean de un estilo clásico, étnico o minimalista. Su gran volumen, 80cm diametro, la convierten en una pieza a destacar dentro de la estancia.

Today, It´s a great day. Sunny. Radiant. The temperatures are pleasant. Now we can say: "Goodbye coat", and "Welcome to the spring".

We are going to enjoy a wonderful season during next months, plenty of colours and flowers. And, according to this time I want to show you a lamp.

First of all, I have to say that I´m a big FAN of built-in spotlights to use as a ceiling ligth. I reckon that It´s the best choice because they are simple and practical. They fit in all rooms, and with all kinds of decorations. However, I must confess that I´m really into this hanging ceiling ligth, designed by Marcus Arvonen.

PS Maskros lamp is avaible at Ikea for 79€. It´s not a cheap item, but It´s worth it.

This design can be placed at bedrooms, children rooms, dining and lounges. Whether a classic, ethnic or minimalist style. It has a large volume with 80cm diameter, which make it note in space.

Y además, también hablamos de un ático. Para mí el binomio perfecto: ATICO + ESTILO NÓRDICO = hablamos de la CASA DE MIS SUEÑOS. Esa que algún día espero tener. Y que también deseo poder mostraros.  ;)

A DESCATAR: Se puede modelar cualquier forma. Es el único material que permite integrar el fregadero en la encimera, hacerlo de una sola pieza, sin juntas.

VENTAJAS: Resistente al calor, manchas, humedad y a la luz del sol. Ofrece una amplia gama de colores, modelos y acabados. Antibacteriano.

INCONVENIENTES: ¡Su elevado precio!
 

PRECIO: 300-400€/ml

MARCAS: Corian / Roxton.

MANTENIMIENTO: Fácil.

ACRYLIC

MAIN ATTRACTION: Can be molded to any shape and is the only material that can incorporate an integrated sink without any joints.

A DESCATAR: La madera aporta exclusivad, y un toque cálido y acogedor a las estancias. Para encimeras de madera se recomienda Roble o Haya, debido a su alta resistencia y durabilidad.

VENTAJAS: Puede ser cortada, fabricada e instalada por un carpintero, lo cual hace menos costoso y más rápido su instalación, en comparación con la piedra u otras superficies. El color y el carácter mejoran con el paso del tiempo. Resistente a los cítricos.

INCONVENIENTES: Necesitan un tratamiento antihumedad. Aunque se barnicen bien, son porosas, por lo que las manchas y la humedad penetran con facilidad.

PRECIO: Depende de la especie de madera.

MARCAS: Roble claro, modelo EKBACKEN, 39€/ud en Ikea.

MANTENIMIENTO: Delicado.

WOOD 

MAIN ATTRACTION: Wood brings exclusivity, warmth and character to a room. I recommend  using oak or beech wood, due to high strength and durability.

ADVANTAGES: Can be cut, manufactured, and installed easily by a carpenter, so it may be less expensive and faster to install than stone and solid surface alternatives. Color and character improve with age. Resisting to citric fruit stains.

DISADVANTAGES: Needs an untimoisture treatment. Wood is a porous material so, despite being unvarnished well, eventually stains and moisture will getting easily.

PRICE: Depends on what kind of wood you choose.

BRAND: Light oak, model EKBACKEN, 39€/ud at Ikea.
 

MAINTENANCE: Delicate.

ACERO INOXIDABLE [] STAINLESS STEEL

A DESCATAR: Ideales para la decoración minimalista, van a la perfección con los electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, tan de modo en los últimos tiempos.

 

VENTAJAS: Gran durabilidad. Resiste el calor. Material no poroso, evita la oxidación,  el agua no lo mancha ni lo decolora.

INCONVENIENTES: Se puede rayar y abollar, y ambos daños son difíciles de quitar o reparar. Es un excelente conductor de calor y rápidamente se calentará a la temperatura de una olla caliente colocada en la superficie.

 

PRECIO: ¡Muy caro!

MARCAS: El mejor precio lo ofrecen empresas que trabajan el acero inoxidable.

MANTENIMIENTO: Sencillo, requiere limpiadores básicos, como el vinagre y el bicarbonato de sodio.

 STAINLESS STEEL

 

MAIN ATTRACTION: Ideal to go with minimalist decor. Fits perfectly with stainless steel electrical applicances, which are so fashionable this days.

ADVANTAGES: High durability. Resists heat. Non-porous material, so it avoids rusting. Water doesn't stain or decolor it.

DISADVANTAGES: Can be scratched or dented, both of which are difficult to remove or repair. Is an excellent heat conductor and quickly heates up to the temperature of a heating pan placed on the surface.

PRICE: Really expensive!!

BRAND: Business that work with stainless steel will offer you the lowest price.

MAINTENANCE: Easy to clean. It requires basic cleaners, such as vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.

A DESCATAR: ¡¡Su bajo precio!!. En estos momentos en los que hay que ajustar el presupuesto lo máximo posible, y sin saber a veces dónde ...electrodomésticos, muebles, accesorios...os hago esta recomendación.
 

VENTAJAS: Este material se fabrica en un tablero de virutas de madera, y finalmente se recubre con una lámina decorativa, lo que permite conseguir infinidad de acabados e imitaciones a otros materiales.

INCONVENIENTES: No soporta el calor. No son tan reistentes como el resto de material. Facilidad para hincharse por pérdidas de agua donde haya cortes en el aglomerado.

 

PRECIO: Es el material más económico.

 

MARCAS: Muchas marcas, por ejemplo: 19'99€/ml modelo FYNDING de Ikea.

 

23,95 €/ml Modelo Haya Oscura de Leroy Merlín.

MANTENIMIENTO: Fácil de limpiar.
 

LAMINATED WOOD

MAIN ATTRACTION: Low price!! Nowadays, in time of crisis, it´s really necessary to spend as little money as you can, but how can I save??... electrical appliances, cabinets, accessories, etc. Here is my suggestion: Laminated wood.

ADVANTAGES: This material is made of a board made of wood chippings, and which is finally covered with a decorative plastic sheet, which allows to obtain a wide range of finishes and imitations of others materials.

DISADVANTAGES: Can be damaged by heat. If you put a heating pan on laminate, you might leave a scorch mark.

PRICE: It´s the lowest countertops price.

BRAND: A lot of brands. For instance: 19'99€/ml modelo FYNDING at Ikea.

Los materiales han ido evolucionando en los últimos años, pasando desde las clásicas superficies de piedra natural, como  mármol y granito, a los nuevos materiales sintéticos. A continuación, trataré de explicaros las ventajas e inconvenientes de cada material, y la idoneidad según su uso.

 

En este post os hablaré de las encimeras de Porcelánico, Cuarzo compacto y piedra natural. Dejando para el próximo los materiales de Acrílico, Madera, Acero inoxidable y Laminados.

 

There are a lot of differents kinds of countertops. The materials have developed considerably over the last few years, from the classic countertops with natural stone, like marble and granite,  to new synthetic materials. Below,  I will explain advantages and disadvantages of each material, and how usefull they are.

 

In this post I´m going to talk about porcelain, compact quartz and natural stone. Next chapter I'll talk about acrylic, wood, stainless steel and laminated wood.

PRINCIPAL ATRACTIVO: Resiste las altas temperaturas. Se pueden colocar objetos calientes sobre la encimera sin dejar marcas.

 

VENTAJAS: Es un material de gran resistencia, no se ralla. Antibacteriano.

 

INCONVENIENTES. Terminación rugosa, no existe la posibilidad de tener un acabado pulido.

 

MANTENIMIENTO: Fácil.

 

PRECIO: 250-380€/ml

 

MARCA: Techlam / Neolith.

 

PORCELAIN

MAIN ATTRACTION: Resist high temperatures. You can put heat pots over countertops without leaving spots. 

 

ADVANTAGES: High resistance. It can't be granted. Antibacterial.

 

DISADVANTAGES: coarse surface, never polished.

 

MAINTENANCE: Easy.

MANTENIMIENTO: Fácil.

MARCAS: Silestone/ Compac / Caesarstone.

 COMPACT QUARTZ

 

MAIN ATTRACTION: A wide range of  textures and finish.

 

ADVANTAGES: High resistance. It's quite difficult, but it can be granted. Antibacterial.

 

DISADVANTAGES: You mustn't put heat objects over countertops, because It may leaves spots. It depends on how much resin contain each countertop's model.

 

MAINTENANCE: Easy.

 

PRICE: 180-350€/ml

PIEDRA NATURAL. Las más ultilizadas son el granito y el mármol, aunque existen otras muchas variedades que cada vez se emplean más,  como calizas y pizarras.

INCONVENIENTES. Estética clásica, está perdiendo terreno frente a otros materiales que permiten una amplia variedad de colores, como el cuarzo compacto.

MAIN ATTRACTION: Resist high temperatures. You can put heat pots over countertops without leaving spots.

 

ADVANTAGES: High resistance. High Hit resistance. It's quite difficult, but it can be granted.

 

DISADVANTAGES:  It´s not a trendy material. It looks like out of style.

 

MAINTENANCE: Easy.
